Question #1:

Does a woman really lose her femininity, whether it be in societies eyes or your own personal eyes, if she is crass and/or prone to fowl language? Explain.

Why? Is it because of the expectation to be a lady? What exactly is being a lady in this day and age and why is there so much emphasis on it?

Being a woman and being feminine are two different things. Branding yourself as feminine means that the manners and attitudes you hold are proper, cordial and polite.

I think figuring out how to be a lady is completely subjective. I learned one thing in my philadelphia trip, which is that you are allowed to define yourself and if you do it properly you can convey the expectations you hold for yourself to proper standards. When you do so, you don't have to play anyone else's game and if you do your part right, if you brand yourself appropriately, then you will end up in a favorable situation.

I think dumb, whiny, superficial bitches put the emphasis on femininity or "girlness." Playing it coy, dressing like dolls, and being silly are traits they think that guys "love." That is not being feminine, that is posing as a lie and those are the people that end up the most unhappiness. The key to everything is to know who you are and be true to yourself.

So what exactly are you answering "yeah" to?

Um okay well first you say "yeah"...then you proceed to go on a spiel in which you say that labeling oneself as "feminine" necessitates X, Y behaviors, then you refer to it as a purely subjective concept specific to the individual, and then indict the self-proposed "femininity" of others.

Then you still say "yeah." Um what?

If "you are allowed to define yourself" then who the fuck are you to say that someone else is "not being feminine" and "posing as a lie"? Just based purely on the **importance of cogency in an argument this makes absolutely NO sense.

You only asked what question I was saying yeah to - which is, if you cuss you are not feminine. You read the following statement wrong which clearly states that I don't think being feminine necessarily constitutes being a woman and vice versa.

Defining yourself is a subjective concept, but you don't have to be feminine to be a woman, or even, be who you are.

And by feminine, I mean, the cultural concept of what makes a woman feminine, which typically has more to do with clothing rather than manners.

I don't understand your last statement, however, I don't really care.

There's a feminine way to act, and a feminine way to present yourself (appearance). I'm saying that the appearance is a veil; the way you act is feminine or not.

The way you "act" necessitates "appearance" so I'm not sure how you divorce these two concepts. The clothes you wear, your body language, your manner of speaking, your vocabulary, etc. are all a way of "acting" and are all "appearance".

If she keeps talking about turkeys and chickens, I might think of her as a farmer's daughter. That can be hot as long as she still has all her teeth (with the possible exception of wisdom teeth).
